With a broad range of industry, functional and technical expertise, our practitioners provide executive leadership consulting across the private equity investment lifecycle.
About the Position
We are looking for a Technical Due Diligence Consultant who will work closely with private equity companies and other investment firms to help them understand the technology strengths, risks, and opportunities for improvement for potential investments targets as well as actively conduct technical due diligence of the latter. Our ideal candidate is equally fluent in both English and Spanish.
Requirements:
- Technically competent (previous work experience as an architect/engineering leader/CTO/CPO)
- Deep knowledge of SDLC, software architecture, technology stacks, infrastructure
- Detailed knowledge of the key cloud platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of emotional intelligence (to be able to “read the room”, i.e. understand the audience attitude, responsiveness, willingness to cooperate)
- Stress resistance, readiness for intensive work
- Readiness to work with the USA time zones if needed
- Readiness to pass the client’s internal training on consultancy and first join a project as an apprentice consultant before starting to work independently.
- Fluency in Spanish is a must-have
- English level: Advanced
Responsibilities:
- Work with private equity companies and other investment firms to help them understand the technology strengths, risks, and opportunities for improvement for potential investments (i.e. technical due diligence)
- Participate in and drive technical due diligence efforts on behalf of investment companies, collaborating, digging deep, and creating a report for the investors to outline technical investment risks
- Technical due diligence in this case will include:
- Decent study of the potential investment target technical documentation, including but not limited to the descriptions of the technology architecture, software stack, infrastructure, security, etc.
- Run a series of sessions (6-8 rounds) with the potential investment target senior technical management (CTO, CPO, CIO, Engineering Lead, Senior Architect, etc.), conducting interviews on a variety of technical topics. Based on that some additional requests may be needed or some additional documents requested.
- Report preparation based on the diligence results. Report is to be presented to the PE company investment committee, PE sponsors and other stakeholders.
