About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a customer-facing implementation team working on large-scale insurance platform implementations. The role focuses on supporting enterprise insurance clients during the migration and implementation of a SaaS underwriting and quoting platform, ensuring complex business requirements are accurately captured, defined, and translated into technical and data solutions.
Implementation projects are long-term and involve close collaboration with client stakeholders, Solution Architects, Developers, and Project Managers.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Property & Casualty and / or Life & Health experience, preferably at an insurance carrier or an insurance software provider with a focus on policy administration functionality.
- Experience on Policy Admin Systems in a Technical BA role (experience on configurability of all the components on PAS).
- Insurance experience on Accident & Health Lines of Business.
- Detailed knowledge of insurance principles, terminology, workflows, customs and practices.
- Detailed knowledge of common insurance reporting needs.
- Understanding of and ability to map data interactions among systems.
- Effective question framing to elicit and clarify requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills for requirements tracking.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent analytical ability.
- Experience working with both IT and business executives.
- Ability to collaborate with clients and the customer`s team members of various roles as well as work independently on requirements-related tasks.
- Experience in enterprise SaaS insurance companies.
Nice to have:
- CPCU, AINS, AIC, ARM, AU, CLU designations.
- BA certification (e.g, CBAP).
- Experience with enterprise-level project management tools like Jira.
- Project management experience and expertise.
- English level: Upper intermediate
Responsibilities:
- Own the entire requirements lifecycle: elicit, organize, clarify, write, track, and validate.
- Translate client-provided content into system requirements.
- Display Subject Matter Expertise with Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health industries.
- Be an active member of the project team: run Show and Tells with the client to demonstrate progress made on requirements, drive requirement working sessions, and participate in stand-ups to communicate progress.
- Perform initial rounds of Quality Assurance testing to validate delivered requirements against your specifications.
- Use, with the opportunity to develop or improve, requirement templates.
- Drive client satisfaction and follow-on business by demonstrating the highest professional standards as a business analyst.
