Network Engineer L1/L2

About the opportunity

We are looking for a skilled L1/L2 Network Engineer to support our client on an upcoming project. This is a remote position open to candidates regardless of their physical location.

Working Hours: 07:00 to 17:00 (Lithuanian time), 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts, with 3 days off. Can be discussed and updated.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in L1/L2 network support roles
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs
• Experience with routers, switches, and access points (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Ubiquiti, etc.)
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have:

• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
• Experience working in multi-client or MSP environments.
• Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.).

English level: Upper-Intermediate

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain network systems and services, ensuring uptime and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve L1/L2 network issues including connectivity, routing, switching, and access problems.
• Escalate complex issues to L3 teams as needed.
• Support network upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.
• Document network incidents, resolutions, and configurations accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure seamless network performance.
