About the Client

Our Client retails auto parts. The Company offers lift kits, lighting, wheels, tires, carries, winches, steering tops, and other automotive products. Client serves customers in the United States.

Headquartered in Dyersburg, the company was one of the founders of the off-road industry and remains one of the fastest growing manufacturers and marketers of aftermarket suspension products and off-road accessories with a product portfolio covering ~90% of truck and Jeep models on the road. Project Overview

The project is an e-commerce progressive web application based on the Magento platform. Initially the whole application was built on Magento, recently the front-end part was redesigned and re-written with React/Next.js.

The docker-compose.yml will stand up Redis, MariaDB/MySQL, PHP 8.3 and all the configuration needed for Magento 2.4. From there the repository (Gitlab) will provide the files that our site runs off.

The sample database is an actual copy of our production DB with all PII data removed (customers, orders, etc, etc), but contains an accurate dump of all our products, configurations, etc.

There are no stored procs or queries that should be needed, Magento runs off an ORM and all DB calls should be handled through that ORM.

Most of our development is handled locally via Docker containers.

Project Stage: Development

Team composition: 3 full-stack developers, 1 AQA Engineer

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with JS
• 4+ years of development with React
• Deep knowledge of Next.js and its key features (rendering, routing, etc.), with at least 2 years of hands-on experience
• Experience with Apollo Client is a huge plus
• Experience with PWA
• Good understanding of graphql
• Firm grasp of Git-based source control
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

Nice to have:

• Experience with Magento 2
• Experience with PHP web development
• English level: Upper intermediate

• Develop a front-end part of modern, fast e-commerce solution using React/Next.js
• Provide an exciting roadmap of features to meet clients’ requirements
• Apply software development best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional development team to bring static designs and prototypes to life, providing constructive feedback to optimize implementation and usability
• Provide solutions to technical problems of varying scope and complexity
• Collaborate with management in determining priorities and risks associated with projects
• Ensure all relevant processes, procedures, and product documentation is up to date.
